Dear parents,
This year, our “Teacher Appreciation Day” will be on May 6 and the APE-EES would once again like to ask you to join us in showing APPRECIATION for all the teaching staff at the school.
HOW TO TAKE PART?
- BRING BREAKFAST: This year, we will start the day with a new element; a teachers’ BREAKFAST FROM 7:45-8:25 AM. We would like to encourage all parents and autonomous students to prepare and bring something yummy; savoury or sweet, for the staff to enjoy. Contributions can be brought in the day before and till the morning of May 6 at 7:45 – by yourself or your child(ren).
- PLAYGROUND SUPERVISOR; As the teachers enjoy breakfast till 8:25, the nursery and primary children will be given extra time to play outside, but we will need some volunteer parents to supervise the children during this time. If you are able to help, please sign up here by May 2.
- MAKE A CARD: We will also create a mosaic of drawings, messages and symbols from your child(ren) but also from you the parents. Write a memory, a story or just a sentence about how a teacher has had/is still having a positive impact on your life. Very importantly though, don’t put any specific teacher’s name, as our appreciation is for ALL teachers and support staff in general – their role in our lives.
WHEN?
The message drop boxes will be out from Tuesday 22 April till May 2 – please write or draw your messages on a paper/cardboard, size 10cm x 14cm. We will then put all the cards into one big frame, a mosaic of messages and drawings of appreciation.
Let’s show our precious teaching staff just how much they mean to us and our child(ren)!
