What we do

The main activities of the APE-EES (Parents’ Association of the Strasbourg European School) are :

• Representing the interest of parents
• Providing after-school care and extra-curricular activities
• Running lunch box services

The APE-EES (Parents’ Association of the Strasbourg European School) was created on 23 May 2008. APE-EES) and is a non-profit association. In the spirit of the European Schools, the aim of the Association is:

• to represent and defend the educational and family interests of parents with pupils at the school
• to take and promote any initiative allowing the widest possible participation of parents in the life of the school
• to represent the educational interests of the pupils in the decision-making bodies of the European Schools and, in particular, the Strasbourg European School, as well as at municipal, regional, national and European level
• to inform the school authorities of parents’ wishes and suggestions concerning the organisation of the school
• to organise in conjunction with the school administration all extra-curricular activities, fostering good relations and if necessary establishing direct links with the parents’ associations of other European Schools
• to provide parents with sufficient information on the decisions or deliberations of the various competent bodies concerning the School, thereby promoting closer ties between parents and other members of the school community, both in Strasbourg and in the other European Schools, in the organisation of artistic, educational and sports-related activities.
